Smartfood Popcorn

The only thing wrong with Smartfood is how addicting it is. This is an essential road trip food, though you will be cleaning popcorn pieces from the car for many months to come.

Hot Rod

If you know me (which I hope you do) you know I'm talking about the movie. This is where my blog title comes from, and I'll be sure to list more of my favorite quotes. I should actually just find a transcript of the whole movie and post it... The quotes are not done justice without seeing the movie, so if you haven't yet-do it, and invite me! It usually makes me laugh just thinking about it.

The entire title quote, though it's too long to fit in the blog allotment "I used to be legit. I was too legit. I was too legit to quit. but now I'm not legit. I'm unlegit. And for that reason, I must quit. "

"I needed to think about last night. So I galloped into a wooded glen, and after punch-dancing out my rage and suffering an extremely long and very painful fall, I realized what has to be done."

"My name is Rod, and I like to party"

"The front of his face exploded out the back of his skull. He died instantly, the next day."

"Hey, Rod, whats that song about a grandma getting run over by a reindeer?"

"Have fun being married to SATAN!"

"I'm freakin pumped! I've been drinking green tea all &@&&@#& day!"
"This is my hat now! This is totally my hat!"

"The safe word is "WHiskey."
Sorry, Rod, What was that?
"WHiskey"
Don't you mean "Whiskey?"
"WHat?"
You're saying it weird.
"Saying WHat WHEird?"
All of it.
"WHere do you get off?"
I just don't get why your saying it that way?
"WHY I'm saying WHat *WHAT* WHay?"
Forget it.
"I WHill! I WHill forget it!"

"All great men have mustaches!"
Yeah, but real men actually grow them!

"Ohhh when you're going on a date, and you put on a shirt! And you ride your bike to the daaaaate!"

You're a terrible stuntman.
"What?"
[louder] You're a terrible stuntman.
"What?"
[screaming] You're a terrible stuntman!
"Haha, I'm just kidding. I could hear you. It was just really mean."

"Oh, that is just something I was working on for mom."
Yeahh...cause mom is into that sort of thing.

Some of my favorite scenes are the entire Whiskey scene, the "I like to party" scene, the dancing to 2 of Hearts, and the riot scene, plus many many more.

I hope this made your day just a little bit:)

Betos and Rancheritos

I've been a fan of Beto's, like many people, since high school. The Beto's cousin Rancherito's is closer to my house, so I've been a fan of it too. Some of my favorite burrito options are the Texano, California, any of their breakfast burritos, and recently the plain Bean and Cheese. The delicious Beto's sauce options (my favorite is the creamy green) really complete their burritos. You can call ahead for pick up, and since they are open 24 hours, anytime can be Beto's time! If you've never been to Beto's be forewarned the burritos are the size of small children, so one burrito will likely last you two or three meals.

Victor's Tires

I first learned about Victor's tires a few years ago when I had one tire that wouldn't pass inspections. I didn't really want to buy two new tires, so I decided to buy a used one so they could hopefully wear more evenly and be ready to be replaced at the same time. Back then there were only two locations. Now Victor's Tires has eight locations-how convenient! The employees at Victor's are always friendly and knowledgeable. You can get an almost new tire for $25! That is dirt cheap. I just put two new tires on my car at Firestone and even with my "friends and family discount" I still paid more than $60 per tire. Check out Victor's Tires, you won't be disappointed!

Dyson Vacuums

I first became infatuated with Dyson vacuums when my parents shelled out the big bucks for one of the original cute yellow ones. After using it just once I knew I could never live without one. They are seriously the most amazing vacuums, and I'm sure anyone who has used one will agree.

Fast forward to September 2009. Spencer and I moved into our house, and after borrowing my parent's yellow Dyson just once, I was stuck using an old school Kirby lent to us by Spencer's mom. The Kirby was big, heavy, and ugly, not to mention terrible at vacuuming. I couldn't wait to buy our own Dyson, especially since Tif's parents designated our wedding gift money to go toward it. Unfortunately, starting up our home required a lot of money and we had to wait. Our plan at that time was to buy it on Black Friday. Luckily for us, Target had my dream vacuum on sale that day for a fantastic deal! I made Spencer wake up super early to stand with me in the long line of crazy shoppers at Target. We were able to get a vacuum and get out of the store relatively quickly after it opened. As soon as we got home I was so excited that we opened it up and I vacuumed the house at 6AM! It was such an exciting day for me. The Dyson has been so great for us so far, and I'm always excited to vacuum the house:)

Happy Hour at Sonic

Back in my high school days, Ashlee and I would frequent Sonic for lemon berry slushes during Happy Hour. This tradition, and therefore my trips to Sonic, ended at some point, but my love for Sonic was recently rejuvenated thanks to Tif. Every day between two and four PM (it should really be called "Happy Hours") Sonic offers 1/2 price drinks and slushes. A mere 86 cents will get you a large delicious slush of your choice! Some of my favorites are the blue coconut, cranberry, and lemon berry slushes. Their watermelon and blue coconut Ocean Waters are also delicious. My favorite thing about Sonic (besides Happy Hour) is their delicious pebbled ice, followed by the entertainment of high school kids trying to roller blade around with orders of food.

I figured it out!

I didn't think I could keep a blog because my life really isn't all that interesting. But today I had an epiphany. I will try to blog daily about one thing that I am thankful for. I hope that you enjoy my posts, leave me feedback, and let me know what things you are thankful for.
